The dyslexia definition of a developmental and neurological language-based learning disability that affects people's ability to read accurately and automatically, and to spell accurately. People with dyslexia are of normal intelligence with normal eyesight. This research investigates the learning language performance of the Iraqi learners that suffer from dyslexia seriously. It seeks to answer two fundamental questions: Do persons with dyslexia have language impairments? And, if yes, in what way does it appear? Additionally, there is analysis of speech samples from some of the Iraqi dyslexic learners, to identify some of their language impairments. Another objective is to determine if there are psycholinguistic measures that can help predict reading abilities and other related skills. The students struggle to learn the spelling and therefore find it difficult to write compositions and communicate their ideas fluently. The number of samples in this study was thirty students third grade intermediate from Al-Jawahery intermediate school of Thi-Qar province. The students exhibited common symptoms of dyslexia when in the classroom. These ranged from poor handwriting to problems with writing or spelling, slow reading and linkage of sounds with letters. Some of them also made misspelling of words which are common to EFL learners. Clear gap in skills to identify dyslexia.
